Maghrib Time vs Isha Time in Doha
Maghrib and Isha are separate timetable entries. Maghrib marks the sunset prayer’s start, while Isha marks the beginning of the next period. Compare both for the same Doha date. A screenshot saved last week, a schedule for another city, or a phone displaying another timezone can make the apparent interval misleading.

Missing one congregation does not, by itself, establish that the whole prayer window has ended. Equally, a later congregation does not add time beyond the boundary you follow. Separate the question ‘Can I reach this mosque’s congregation?’ from ‘How much time remains before Isha?’ when planning the evening.
Confirm the mosque’s current arrangement before leaving, especially if you are relying on an older notice or a remembered interval. If a mosque announcement and an app appear to disagree, first ask what each time represents. The difference may be between prayer entry and iqamah rather than two different sunset calculations.
Why Maghrib Duration Changes Through the Year
Sunset shifts through the calendar, and the sun’s path below the horizon also varies with the season.
