Why does Maghrib time differ across Qatar?
Maghrib begins according to local sunset. Differences in longitude and geographic position across northern, southern, eastern and western Qatar mean the sun can set at slightly different minutes in each location. This page uses Doha as a clear national reference for comparison; it does not imply that Doha’s calculated time is geographically identical everywhere. Use the relevant city page when you need the most locally applicable calculated schedule. Mosque congregation remains local as well: an individual mosque may call the azan according to its timetable and schedule the iqamah several minutes later.
